Description
“Aluigi” Gran Selezione 2016 le Cinciole is the result of a careful selection of Sangiovese from a single vineyard located slightly lower, around 440 m, where the soil has a greater clay component.
Vinified naturally by spontaneous fermentation in concrete vats, after racking it continues aging in traditional medium-capacity oak barrels (25 hl) where it remains for about 24 months. It continues its cement aging for another year and is completed in the bottle where it remains for the last 12 months.
Deep ruby red with garnet-colored highlights. The nose is broad and with good vigor; hints of ripe red fruits, notes of vanilla and licorice and hints of chocolate emerge. The palate is firm, round, and well-structured; the tannins are well integrated and the persistence is excellent.
