Description
The grapes come from a small plot located in the Castagni cru in La Morra, the soils are sandy but with vineyards in good exposure where each plant makes 500/700 grams of grapes per cluster so there is more concentration in the berries.
Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are spontaneous lasting 12 to 15 days, several manual pumping over and racking are done before aging, which takes place in barriques (⅔ used) for 24 months followed by 8 months in steel before bottling.
Accomplice to the great vintage, the result is a wine of brazen elegance with great fruity notes, deep endowed with great freshness where discreet acidity and soft tannins pervade the finish.
