Barolo “Serralunga” 2019 magnum – Boasso Franco
105,00 €
Serralunga is one of the eleven Piedmontese communes where Barolo is produced; especially this cru is one of the most highly rated and renowned for the production of classic Barolos, that is, characterized by a soft color and an imposing tannic texture. A perfect example of these peculiarities is precisely today’s 2015 Barolo DOCG: to the eye, it has a classic light garnet color, and on the nose there are ethereal notes, with hints that remind us of incense and menthol. The mouth is really solid, built around a great tannic structure. The Boasso family has been making wine since 1970-the 7 hectares of vineyards are all located in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba (CN), in the Gabutti, Meriame and Margheria subzones. The bottles produced are about 30,000 a year, and the protagonist is Barolo nebbiolo, interpreted in the three versions Gabutti, Margheria and Serralunga, all characterized by a distinctly traditional style.
