Description
The vineyard was planted in 2012 and has a southern exposure.
Vigna Rionda is the cru par excellence in Serralunga d’Alba.
The Porro family has been in the wine business for five generations. Serralunga d’Alba welcomes the company.
Serralunga d’Alba’s climate is unique and is home to some of the most renowned vineyards for the production of Barolo.
The family originally sold the wine in bulk and around 1980 switched to bottled marketing.
Giovanni’s son, Guido has been in charge of the winery since 1996 and is always looking for quality and typicality in the wines: Barolo, Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto d’Alba.
Quality has also reached foreign markets such as Northern Europe, America, Hong Kong and Japan.
Serralunga d’Alba’s most famous cru gives a majestic Barolo; complexity is revealed as soon as it is poured. Intense garnet ruby color with a wide range of sensations found in the mouth accompanied by an elegance rich in taste-olfactory references.
