Description
Brunnenhof’s Pinot Noir is an elegant, gentle wine made from pure Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes come from vineyards located in the area called the King’s Meadow ridge, on “sandy-clay” Triassic soil rich in minerals, where strong temperature excursions give the wine complexity and harmony. After manual harvesting and selection, they are fermented in the winery in a large wooden barrel where the must remains in contact with the skins for two weeks. The grape seed hair is regularly and manually pushed downward in order to best extract the color and aromas. After malolactic fermentation, Pinot Noir Reserve rests for 2 years in oak barrels. This is followed by a year in bottle before release. Brunnenhof’s Pinot Noir Reserve has a deep ruby red color. Elegant red fruit aromas on the nose with spicy and floral notes. On the palate, the interplay of tannins, alcoholic softness and fine woody flavor give this wine its complexity and harmony.
