Description
Fontodi is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the valley that opens up south of the village of Panzano called the “Conca d’oro”: a “terroir” renowned for centuries for its vocation for quality viticulture due to the unique combination of high altitude, marl soils, great luminosity and a fantastic microclimate, warm, dry and with wide temperature range.
In keeping with the winemaking tradition of the Chianti Classico area, Fontodi has chosen to devote itself to the enhancement of Sangiovese, seeking to express the purest characteristics of this historic Tuscan grape variety by practicing highly sustainable forms of agriculture.
