Wine with a fairly consistent ruby-red color. Quite intense, complex and fine bouquet. Hematic (iron) nose, small red berry fruits (currants), cherry and violet. Overall elegant. Quite persistent on the palate, slender in the mouth and nervous in the astringent attack of polyphenols.

Description
Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2016 Vigna Castellinuzza Piuca is a Chianti Classico of marked character and olfactory complexity, very representative of the territory.
Deep garnet red color. Notes of tobacco spice, black pepper, cinnamon and clove on the nose with hints of very ripe fruit such as blackberry jam and berries, dried flowers, minerality and leather and blood sensations characterizing the olfactory profile. Soft, broad and complex on the palate with bright but elegant tannins and a balanced acidity finish. Intense and elegant persistence and aftertaste.
It is aged for one year in cement tanks and then barriques and tonneaux for another 8-10 months. After that, the wine is bottled and after a rest in the bottle the latter is finally released.Excellent as a meditation wine, it goes well with many red meat or game dishes, even very tasty ones. Also ideal on selections of aged cheeses.
