Mazzei’s 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Badiola comes from the vineyards overlooked by the small Romanesque parish church known as “Badiòla” in the municipality of Radda in Chianti.
The vineyards are among the highest in all of Chianti Classico and enjoy a particularly cool climate. Hints of red fruits such as cherry and strawberry on the nose. Almond, thyme and mineral notes follow, while a hint of roasted spices sustains the sip. Lively and long.
