Mazzei’s 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Badiola comes from the vineyards overlooked by the small Romanesque parish church known as “BadiĆ²la” in the municipality of Radda in Chianti.
The vineyards are among the highest in all of Chianti Classico and enjoy a particularly cool climate. Hints of red fruits such as cherry and strawberry on the nose. Almond, thyme and mineral notes follow, while a hint of roasted spices sustains the sip. Lively and long.
