Concerto di Fonterutoli 2020 – Marchesi Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli
73,00 €
Fonterutoli’s Concerto is a Toscana IGT with a base of Sangiovese grapes. Rich and juicy tasting wine with notes of underbrush and black fruits. It was born in 1981 on the wave of viticulture with as yet untapped potential, which was experimenting with new forms of cultivation and new blends including non-native varieties; it was one of the forerunners and one of the first 10 protagonists of the phenomenon of so-called “Super Tuscans.”

Description
Fonterutoli’s Mazzei 2020 Concerto is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from a cool vineyard located at 350 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by dense forests on three sides. The role of the forest, especially in the Chianti hills, is becoming increasingly appreciated as we face hot summers and climate change. This wine remains concentrated and compact with wild berries, black currants, grilled herbs, spices and dark mineral tones. On the palate, there is plenty of sweet fruit followed by dry, well-integrated tannins.
