Description
I Sodi di S. Niccolò is Castellare di Castellina’s Grand Cru, among the first historic Supertuscans made exclusively from native grapes: 85% Sangioveto and 15% Malvasia Nera. The origin of the name comes from the word used by Tuscan peasants to describe those soils that had to be worked by hand, as they were too hard (precisely firm) or too steep to allow the use of oxen. San Niccolò, on the other hand, is the name of the 1300 Church that stands on the Castellare property around which are some of the most vocated vineyards.
