Description
The Riesling Mosel Auslese Urziger Wurzgarten is the fruit of a small parcel of the Wurzgarten vineyard totaling 50 hectares planted with vines, all of which are free-range. The vines are literally clinging to steep terraces that prevent the use of agricultural vehicles. Manual work in the vineyard and “natural” work in the winery as well.
This wine presents itself in a beautiful bright golden yellow; on the nose, the main protagonist initially is hydrocarbons, they immediately merge into a whirlwind of fruity, almost tropical scents of pineapple, followed by green apple and apricots, and finally orange blossom honey.
We are dealing with a wine that is on the whole elegant; whose taste is noble, but never redundant, as the freshness and savoriness in addition to the fruit make the sip dynamic and nicely balance the sweetness. The wine is persistent.
