Description
Cannonau grapes are grown in the vineyards of Sa Toa and Su Babbu Mannu at 180 meters above sea level with a planting density of 4830 vines/ha and a yield of 60 quintals per hectare.
Harvesting is done by hand in the traditional way.
Winery: destemming of grapes, fermentation on the skins in vats and aging for 12 months in temperature-controlled steel tanks and further aging for 2 months in oak barrels.
Ferru Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, is a ruby red wine. The nose gives notes of graphite and then small fruits such as raspberry and a sulfur spice. The taste is smooth and rounded with a spice that returns in the mouth, very pleasant.
At the table it perfectly accompanies grilled red meats, roasts, stewed red meats, game, and meaty pasta dishes.
