Description
Franchesato, Terre del Marchesato’s Cabernet Franc is a dark ruby-red, almost black, impenetrable wine.
The nose exudes a definite and quite deep, very slightly meaty-animal scent of ripe and somewhat red black berries with Mediterranean herbs in the background, some blood, cherries and juniper.
On the palate ripe fruit, very slightly warm, juicy, glossy, with chocolatey flavors, delicate bite, very fine and crisp tannin, good persistence, almost somewhat adulatory style, but gaining bite with air, fleshy and toasty undertones in the background, has power, a hint of juniper, very good, juicy and somewhat chocolatey on the finish, with considerable alcoholic warmth.
