Tenuta Carleone Randagio 2021 is yet another twist on Sean O’Callaghan. Randagio is 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot vinified in “Guercio style”: grapes gently pressed with the feet and very long maceration for about 18 months in steel and cement.

Description
Il Randagio, the “stray,” is Sean’s new Bordeaux cuvée of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Initially still quite closed, the finely spiced nose creeps up as aeration increases and opens further into a wonderfully complex bouquet of red and black berries. The palate is broad, with delicate wild berry aromas, perfectly polished tannins and a fresh, invigorating vein of acidity that nonchalantly enhances the drinkability of this once again typically different red.
