Clara Marcelli’s K’Un is a pure Montepulciano produced in the Piceno area according to organic farming principles. Aging first in used wood barrels and then in the bottle allows this red to release evolved, spicy aromas of black cherry and licorice on the nose. The palate is firm and rich, with good body and interesting evolutionary potential.

Clara Marcelli’s K’Un is liquid testimony to all the class and depth of Montepulciano, enjoyable even in its youth but capable of further surprises with aging. A truly emblematic territorial expression that of K’Un, which champions the stark differences between Abruzzi and Marche Montepulciano, as well as the grape’s almost limitless potential.
K’un’ red is made from pure Montepulciano grapes from vineyards located at 250 meters above sea level and resting on clay matrix soils. If in the vineyard, as already mentioned, chemical and synthetic products are banned and manual harvesting is carried out, in the winery it always continues without forced interventionism, with alcoholic fermentation occurring spontaneously in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. The liquid ages for18 months in barrique and 12 months in bottle.
The Clara Marcelli K’un presents itself in the goblet with a purplish-red robe of great intensity. Powerful and intense, it does not hide from the first olfaction the breadth of its profile of ripe black cherry, cocoa, earth, pepper and clove, as well as hints of wild herbs. Nose that challenges those who approach it, looking for descriptors, almost unlimited. The sip is no less impressive, and while rich and concentrated, it is steadily tamped down by an integrated supply of salt and freshness, as well as perfectly polished tannin.
