Malvasia ‘Dis Cumieris’ 2021 – Vie di Romans

Malvasia Dis Cumieris is a particularly aromatic white wine from the historic Vie di Romans winery located in Friuli Venezia Giulia, in Mariano del Friuli, in the province of Gorizia. A white wine praised by many experts for its qualities of freshness and good flavor.

The grapes that make up this Dis Cumieris come from Istrian Malvasia vines that grow on gravel soils, rich in clay and with a distinctive reddish tone conferred by the presence of iron and aluminum oxides, located in the Friuli Isonzo Rive Alte DOC with southern exposure.

Harvesting begins in mid-September, once the grapes are picked, the clusters undergo a maceration process and then undergo fermentation that lasts 16 days and finally maturation on selected yeasts for 9 months, ending after an additional 9 months in the bottle.

This Malvasia Dis Cumieris Vie di Romans, is a wine that is golden yellow to the eye, the nose expresses on evolving notes of fruit and sweet citrus, with hints of lime blossom and herbs. In the mouth, it is full and fresh, balanced and has good flavor that finishes with a lingering, aromatic finish.
