The Palafreno 2017 is wonderfully elegant on the palate, a product that in all vintages vinified reaches unparalleled heights of excellence.
It has a beautiful deep ruby red color, tending to garnet with aging. The nose is expressed with a certain complexity of aromas, characterized by notes of ripe red berry fruits, spices, and aromatic and balsamic sensations. In the mouth it is full and rich, with velvety, elegant tannins and a warm, enveloping mineral finish.

Description
100% Merlot produced from Querciabella estate wine. the wine has a very dense ruby-red color, evolving steadily to garnet.
This red reveals a beautiful complexity of aromas, such as notes of forest, ripe fruit mixed with warm, balsamic tones. On the palate, the 2010 Querciabella Palafreno is intense and juicy with firm, youthful but also silky tannins. The body is not too powerful, elegant and soft, while the long finish is reminiscent of the aroma of balsamic notes.
With some age, Palafreno develops a lush, silky body with velvety tannins, hazelnut and dried fig and plum flavors, truffle, sandalwood with a touch of cinnamon and clove. Suitable pairings are terrines or a mushroom and walnut pate, polenta with mushrooms and grilled herbs, a caramelized onion tart, or a simple truffle pasta.
