Description
Pietrisco 2017 is produced with spontaneous fermentations, uncontrolled temperatures and indigenous yeasts; wood is only a container certainly not an element that will affect the essence of the wine. All this can be perceived from the very first instant, after appropriate oxygenation, the Pietrisco unveils its aromas and reveals an austere, intriguing character.
Characterized by an intense ruby color, warm, crossed by flashes of garnet, the nose offers slightly wilted floral cues, black cherry, currant, earthy effluvia and very elegant balsamic puffs; thus eucalyptus, black pepper and rosemary soon give way to hints of tobacco and licorice. Full, satisfying sip, the matter is quite sustained assisted by very elegant texture; there is flavor density combined with freshness, sweet tannin and beautifully managed alcohol.
A very long wine that conquers the palate without in any way wanting to saturate it, this is its strength, in fact it makes itself drink again and again masterfully combining complexity with very pleasant qualities. Five well-deserved snails. On a plate of Valtellina pizzoccheri is a splendid tribute to a land that in terms of food and wine has nothing to envy from any other Italian region.
