Pinot Grigio 2020 – Ronco Severo
35,00 €
Ronco Severo’s Pinot Grigio Ramato is a playful wine, like the young equilibrist that stands out on the label, tantalizing its drinker’s palate, making him or her become a child again. The maceration know-how of its winemaker Stefano, emerges in all its power, aided by a long rest in barrel. Dried fruit, hay and acacia flowers on the nose, ripe flesh and extraordinary finesse in the mouth.

Description
The Pinot Grigio Ramato of the Ronco Severo winery is an intense, full-bodied wine produced in Prepotto, Friuli. This bottle is made from pure Pinot Grigio grapes from vines grown using the two-trunked, upside-down cappuccina method, at an altitude of about 150 meters (500 feet), on soils characterized by soils rich in “ponca,” the Friulian term for sandstone marl.
It remains aged in 40-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels for about 24 months, including 11 months in contact with its fine lees, before being bottled, on waning moon days, and put on the market.
Pinot Grigio shows a bright coppery color to the eye, with intense aromas of white-fleshed fruit, including peach and pear, and dried fruit, such as walnut and almond, floral notes of honeysuckle, acacia flowers and hay, spicy hints of pepper and clove, and closing with a slight iodine sensation. In the mouth it is pulpy, enveloping, energetic and fresh, characterized by a long and persistent finish with intriguing spicy sensations. This, from the Ronco Severo winery, is a complex, engaging and very interesting Pinot Grigio made according to the ancient traditions of the past.
