This Pinot Gris is grown organically and biodynamically on marl and limestone soils. It is very expressive, with notes of yellow fruit, quince and plum. Broad and powerful, it has a very long finish and can be aged for several years.

Description
The 2003 Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst smells of candied fruits such as apple, quince, orange peel and apricot. Accompanied by sweet aromas reminiscent of cotton candy, wildflower honey and white chocolate. The sweet flavors appear elegant; almost airy and are supported by a smoky aroma.
On the palate, the 2003 Pinot Gris Grand Cru Hengst appears playful with juicy fruit and creamy sweetness. The acidity brightens in the background, and the finish appears rich, opulent and well-structured. A wine that presents itself on a beautiful stage but still has some years of aging and storage potential ahead of it.
