Siepi 2020 – Marchesi Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli
“Siepi” is a robust and concentrated Supertuscan made from Sangiovese and Merlot, aged in barriques for 18 months. It expresses with power and intensity the warmth of the Tuscan terroir: red fruit, dark chocolate, herbs, smoky nuances on the nose and a rich, complex, harmonious and monumental taste

Castello di Fonterutoli – Mazzei’s “Siepi” is a Tuscan wine, produced near Castellina in Chianti heart of the Chianti Classico DOCG. The Mazzei Marquises have held ownership of this castle since 1435, which has preserved the historicity and authenticity of the buildings and grounds over time, preserving an atmosphere typical of medieval times. Over time, the Mazzei family decided to study and enhance the land, trying to bring good quality products to life from a predominantly stony and rocky soil: the result has been the production of wines of unique complexity and diversity, becoming the signature of the estate.
