Teran 2019 – Skerk
50,00 €
Skerk’s Venezia Giulia Terrano is a pure organic Terrano, a symbolic vine of karst viticulture and a relative of refosco. A wine that manages to bring out the typical characteristics of the area, such as the freshness and delicacy of its aromas as well as powerful tannins. Left to macerate on the skins for 15 days in wooden vats, it then ages 1 year in 25-hectoliter barrels.

Description
From the native Friulian Teran vine, a relative of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, a maceration of about a month on the skins and aging of about 12 months in wood gives rise to this low-alcohol, fragrant red wine with a deep ruby red color and a broad bouquet reminiscent of wild berries, particularly blueberry, raspberry and black currant.
Also this red wine as in the Skerk style is not subjected to clarification and filtration: in fact, Sandy Skerk wants natural, pure wines without any kind of correction in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. He follows the ancient winemaking methods of the families of Friuli, and he is not interested in adapting to the market, but in making real wines that are an expression of a border territory with many peculiarities that Friuli is.
A fine Friulian wine perfect for sharing together, perhaps over a nice cheese frico, polenta with stew, or a nice board of cured meats and cheeses.
