Description
A full-bodied, rightly tannic Valtellina Superiore DOCG with a deep ruby red color and aromas of berries, ripe morello cherries and spices. The palate is dry, rightly tannic, very persistent.
Valtellina superiore is produced by the Le Strie winery in Teglio (SO), a small operation that produces great wines. To fully understand the philosophy and personality of this wine one must also dwell on the territory where it originates, the Valtellina, which to this day is the largest terraced area in Italy-not surprisingly, it is often referred to as heroic viticulture.
A wine that bewitches at first sight, with its deep amaranth red color and beautiful texture, a complex, structured and full-bodied wine, but not heavy. A wine of personality that invites, glass after glass, conviviality.
