Obtained from the pressing of Vernaccia grapes grown in the clayey-sandy soils in the Zeddiani countryside, Vernaccia Riserva Serra takes on its typical aromas in the large chestnut barrels in which it rests drained for several years under a veil of Flor yeasts, the same process used for Vernaccia Serra. With nearly twenty years of aging, along with Contini and Judiches winery’s 1991 Riserva from Cantina Sociale della Vernaccia, it is among the most evolved Vernaccia di Oristano DOC wines currently on the market!

With a beautiful deep amber color tending toward coppery and opulent texture, Vernaccia Riserva Serra gives the nose aromas of dried and dehydrated fruit, above all bitter almond, fig jam, brackish notes, balsamic notes of marsh plants, ethereal and spicy nutmeg, and in closing nuances of caramel and honey.

In the mouth it is a triumph of savoriness, due to the proximity of the sea and the nature of the soil, softness and structure: extraordinarily intense, Vernaccia Riserva Serra gladdens the palate for very long minutes with its fine aromas.
