Description
Vigna le Nicchie 2016 Pietro Beconcini Agricola is a red wine with violet and blue highlights typical of the grape variety, transparent but very deep and not perfectly bright indicating density due to the drying process.
The scent is of flowers and fruit at the same time that replace each other during aging until finding the perfect fusion around the fifth year of age, when the first tertiaries of licorice, coffee, cocoa, leather begin to appear, along with the creamy notes that complete the aromatic spectrum of this wine.
In the mouth it is creamy, dense, but with a decidedly pleasant drinkability due to fine, silky tannins that will only become sweet in the sixth to seventh year and a long but unobtrusive mouthfeel finish.
Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes from vines over 100 years old grown on very compact white clay soils with skeleton composed mainly of marine fossils of Pliocene age and high mineral complexity at an elevation of 100-150 meters above sea level.
