Description
The Alto Adige Pinot Nero Riserva DOC “Vigna Zis” 2016 is an extraordinary creation from the enchanting “Vigna Zis” vineyard located in Mazzon, in the heart of the Mazzon Hills in Alto Adige. This region is renowned for being one of the best for growing the prized Pinot Noir. Carefully selected grapes undergo fermentation in wood, where the must remains in contact with the skins for two weeks. During this period, the grape seed cap is manually pushed down to best extract the color and aromas. After malolactic fermentation, this oenological masterpiece rests patiently for a year in 500-liter oak barrels, followed by an additional 8 to 10 months in a large oak barrel at the Brunnenhof winery.
This wine has a ruby red color of rare elegance and offers a refined and refined aromatic bouquet. Its aromas open with delicate fruity notes of cherries and small red berries, then evolve into tertiary flavors of tobacco, licorice and cumin. On the palate, the experience is full and balanced, perfectly matching the promise of the nose, giving an exceptional persistence that makes this wine a true oenological gem.
