Skerk’s Vitovska is an expressive, rich and very territorial white wine, vinified with long maceration on the skins and matured for a year in large barrels. Fascinating vegetal hints of flowers and green tea enliven an intense, savory and persistent taste.

Description
Skerk’s Vitovska is a stunning white, a testament to one of the best hands in the artisanal wine world. When we speak of Sandi Skerk and his wines, we speak, in our opinion, of one of the most sensitive producers in the Karst, capable like few others of combining the vigorous input of skins during vinification with a style that is always elegant and pleasant.
Skerk’s Vitoska is made from pure grapes of the variety of the same name grown in Ograde, a watershed between Italy and Slovenia. The dictates of organic farming are followed in the vineyard, so chemicals are banned, helped only with a little copper and sulfur. The same mentality is followed in the winery, intervening with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in wooden barrels and a few days’ maceration on the skins. No clarification or filtration before bottling.
Skerk’s Vitovska wine presents itself in the glass with a bewitching amber hue. On the nose it is extraordinary how it combines spontaneity and definition, square notes of melba peach, wild herbs, honey and eucalyptus. On the palate, the wine impresses with its persuasive, creamy tactility as well as its saline charge that greatly lengthens its persistence. An experiential bottle.
